Nicholas Hill was retained by the parties in EnCap/XCL’s acquisition of EP Energy, an oil and gas producer. A Bates White team led by Slava Zayats provided an analysis of the likely competitive effects of the proposed transaction and helped with the Second Request. The Federal Trade Commission approved the deal with conditions in 2022.
