D-I Council

The firm’s Diversity-Inclusion Council, representing a cross-section of employees, implements programs that advance the firm’s commitment to a diverse, inclusive, and welcoming environment.

What we do

  • In the foreground, a group of smiling people (mostly young women; one young man) is seated around tables. In the background, two smiling women stand behind a speaking podium.

    Training

The council organizes diversity training on a wide range of topics including unconscious bias, inclusive intelligence, and cultural humility. These interactive programs provide opportunities for colleagues to increase awareness, share their perspectives, and learn from one another.

  • Three women seated behind a table, smiling at the camera. The table has a microphone on it, and behind the table is a screen reading, "DEI&B Town Hall."

    Education and awareness

To help employees deepen their understanding of diversity and inclusion in today’s world, the council shares articles in our bi-weekly newsletter. We have also held other educational programming around understanding and valuing generational differences and the racial wealth gap.

    Community support

The D-I Council organizes fundraisers to support organizations focused on increasing opportunities for at-risk communities. For the third year, in conjunction with Black History Month, the D-I Council organized a fundraiser for the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, an organization that provides college-bound HBCU students with scholarships and enrichment programs.
