Korean Midland Power Co. Boulder Solar Power project development consulting
Provided consulting services, advising Korean Midland Power Co. (KOMIPO), one of the largest utility and power producers in Korea, on all aspects of the Boulder Solar Power (BSP) project development including land lease, interconnection, permit, power purchase agreement, and joint partnership with SunPower. The project is a 150 MW solar photovoltaic power plant in Boulder City, Nevada. NV Energy agreed to buy 100 MW of the power under a 20-year power purchase agreement to supply solar energy to more than 15,000 homes in Southern Nevada, and 50 MW of the power will provide renewable energy for Apple’s expansion of its data center in Northern Nevada. KOMIPO is the first government-owned utility in Korea to successfully develop a utility-scale solar project in the United States.
