Tanmay Belavadi is an Economist in the Antitrust and Competition Practice at Bates White. He received his PhD from the Pennsylvania State University where he taught undergraduate courses in Labor Economics and Intermediate Microeconomics. In his doctoral studies, Dr. Belavadi specialized in international trade, labor economics and development. Specifically his research looked at the effect of international trade on the formalization of manufacturing enterprises in a developing economy. Dr. Belavadi has also previously worked as an analyst in the financial services sector, assessing portfolio risk exposure.
