Justus Timmers is an Economist in the Antitrust and Competition Practice. He has expertise in industrial organization and health economics. He earned his PhD from the University of Texas at Austin, where he developed and estimated a structural bargaining model focused on the interactions between regulators and insurers on the ACA Marketplaces. Prior to his doctoral studies, Justus worked as an Economic Advisor for the Competition and Markets Authority, UK, specifically in the Mergers Division. His research interests include the intricate dynamics between public procurement and market power.
