Renewable Natural Gas Supply and Demand for Transportation

June 2019
Read the report here

The renewable natural gas (RNG) industry has grown significantly in the last five years—production more than doubled from 2015 to 2018. RNG availability has accelerated the demand for natural gas use in transportation, enhanced the economic value associated with converting transport fleets from diesel, and promoted investments in infrastructure. Bates White has published a report addressing factors that developers, investors, and regulators need to consider regarding RNG as they make transportation-related decisions about the future.

The report has earned attention in the RNG industry. Biomass Magazine reported on the Coalition for Renewable Natural Gas’s presentation of the study, citing its forecasts and supply and demand projections. FleetOwner magazine also featured the report, highlighting its assessments of the economic value in investing in RNG growth.
