Partner Leemore Dafny will participate in three sessions of the 14th Annual Conference of the American Society of Health Economists (ASHEcon). Dr. Dafny is the President-Elect of ASHEcon.
- June 22, 5:30–6:30 pm: Dr. Dafny moderates the Opening Plenary “From Trump to Biden and Back Again: A Bipartisan Look at Federal Health Policy.”
- June 23, 8:30–10:00 am: Dr. Dafny is a discussant in the session “Vertical Integration and Prices.” Dr. Dafny will speak on the paper, “Impact of the Insurer Acquisition of Ascs on Volume, Quality of Care, and Price.” This, along with the other two featured papers, are in the competition in healthcare markets track of the conference.
- June 24, 1:45–3:15 pm: Dr. Dafny chairs the session “High Prescription Costs: Insurer Strategies and Implications for Patients,” which will discuss three papers in the prescription drugs track of the conference. Dr. Dafny is the co-author of one of these papers: “What Happens When Drug Companies Can Cover Your Deductible? How State Bans on Copay Accumulators Affect Healthcare Utilization.”
