Bates White philanthropy program showcased at Ragan Conference

At the Ragan Communications conference on the The Role of Communications in Creating Best Places to Work, Miriam Wolman, Bates White Director of Employee Engagement and Communications, presented “The Secret to Workplace Greatness? Disrupt Philanthropy by Putting Employees in Charge.” During her talk, Wolman explained the philosophy behind Bates White’s Community Connection program, which empowers employees to organize fundraising initiatives for nonprofit organizations. Through the program, Bates White consistently raises more than $100,000 a year to support a wide range of organizations. Wolman highlighted innovative fundraising initiatives—from Balloon Wars to mentoring students to employee competitions—that increase employee engagement, provide leadership opportunities, and support the community.
