Randy Chugh has extensive experience as an antitrust economist, providing analysis of competitive effects of horizontal and vertical mergers, monopolization and exclusionary conduct, and liability and damages calculations. Randy has been retained as an expert by the Department of Justice and private litigants in matters related to the airlines, advanced manufacturing, travel agency, and hospital industries. His experience spans a wide range of additional industries, including supermarkets, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, telecommunications, paper, forest products, healthcare, and beer.

Randy works closely with government agencies and leading law firms in litigation, consulting, and risk assessment roles. In his cases, he works collaboratively with clients to develop economic analyses that fit with the overall litigation strategy—without sacrificing analytical rigor. Before joining Bates White, Randy was an Economist with the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice, where he was recognized for his contributions to economic analysis and litigation support.
