Omnicom and the Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG) are media buying advertising agencies in the United States. In late 2024, Omnicom proposed a $13.5 billion acquisition of IPG. Willkie Farr & Gallagher, counsel for IPG, retained Nicholas Hill to provide support on advocacy and Second Request compliance. The Bates White team worked with IPG data teams to understand various data sources, analyze data details, and prepare data for submission.

In June 2025, the parties reached an agreement with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) during the Second Request compliance process. The FTC allowed the merger to go through with a behavioral remedy. Dr. Hill was supported by a team that included Naibin Chen, Randy Chugh, and Chuhang Geissler.
