Tronox-Cristal merger

Nicholas Hill testified in two courts on behalf of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in the agency’s litigation over the proposed merger between Tronox and Cristal, two leading suppliers of chloride-process titanium dioxide. Both courts ruled in favor of the FTC, with District Court Judge Trevor McFadden granting the FTC’s request for a preliminary injunction in September 2018 and the FTC’s Chief Administrative Law Judge upholding the FTC’s complaint to enjoin the acquisition in December 2018.
