Dennis McWeeny dedicates himself to developing rigorous and reliable economic analyses and arguments on many of the firm’s most complex antitrust matters. Dennis has supported experts and attorneys at three high-profile antitrust trials in recent years: United States et al. v. Google (Search), United States v. JetBlue and Spirit, and United States et al. v. Google (Ad tech). He leverages insights from those experiences to refine intricate economics into a simple and compelling narrative in close collaboration with counsel on mergers and monopolization cases.
Dennis has led teams of consultants and economists through all phases of antitrust investigations and litigation, including merger risk assessment, advocacy before the antitrust agencies, Second Request compliance, expert reports, depositions, and trial testimony. He has consulted on antitrust matters in a variety of industries, including air transportation, insurance broking, music streaming, wireless communications, agriculture, chemical manufacturing, amusement parks, payment cards, oil and gas, automotive dealers, digital advertising, and big tech. His dissertation research analyzed antitrust issues in the airline industry.
