Naibin Chen is an Economist in the Antitrust and Competition Practice at Bates White. He received his PhD from the Pennsylvania State University, specializing in industrial organization and applied microeconomics. Dr. Chen's dissertation research focused on consumer choices and firm choices in the motion picture industry, especially how consumers learn about movie quality from reviews, as well as how movie studios respond by adapting advertising strategies. Dr. Chen also processed extensive data sets to conduct additional research in the automobile industry, leveraging state-of-the-art tools to manage his analyses. His research has been published in the journal Economic Inquiry.
