Martin Gaynor elected to National Academy of Medicine
Martin Gaynor, Bates White Academic Affiliate and Carnegie Mellon University Professor, has been elected to the National Academy of Medicine. Election to the Academy is considered one of the highest honors in the fields of health and medicine. Members are elected by active members of the Academy through a selective process that recognizes major contributions to the advancement of the medical sciences, healthcare, and public health.
Dr. Gaynor has received numerous awards for his research and has published in leading economics journals. His academic research focuses on competitive interactions among payors and providers of healthcare services, with an emphasis on antitrust, competitive strategy, and public policy.
