Muxi Yang specializes in developing economic and statistical models to forecast and value potential liabilities. She has extensive experience working with large-scale data sets and performing empirical analysis using causal-inference econometrics and statistical modeling. Muxi has supported experts in estimating and simulating future asbestos and talc-related expenses in bankruptcy procedures and mediations.

Prior to joining Bates White, Muxi taught undergraduate and graduate courses in economics as a teaching assistant at Cornell University. In her doctoral studies, Muxi conducted research on utilizing statistical decision-making models and machine learning tools to optimize the design of public policies in energy markets. Her research has been published in the Journal of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists and the World Bank working paper series.
