Kaiwei Hsu leverages economic theory, statistical analysis, and data science techniques to assist experts and clients in antitrust engagements.
Kaiwei Hsu specializes in antitrust economics, including the analyses of market definition, market power, and monopolization. Kaiwei has worked on a variety of antitrust cases, including Epic v. Google and Federal Trade Commission et al. v. Kroger Company et al. He evaluates the impact of horizontal and vertical mergers, assesses the effects of anticompetitive conduct, and calculates consumer damages.
Kaiwei has extensive experience in data-intensive econometric and statistical analyses in support of economic expert testimony. He has also conducted analyses using terabyte-sized data and supported the firm’s initiative to incorporate data science and big data tools across practices.
