Transdev North America Inc. announced in 2022 that it would acquire First Transit Topco Inc. Transdev operates in 19 countries, providing public transportation services through fixed-route bus systems; shuttle, paratransit, rail, and light rail services; and fleet maintenance. Debevoise & Plimpton retained Bates White to provide economic analysis to Transdev. Slava Zayats and Nicholas Hill provided economic assessment of likely competitive effects from the proposed transaction. The acquisition gained all US and Canadian regulatory approvals without conditions in March 2023.
