Samuele Centorrino, PhD
Samuele Centorrino is an econometrician with more than 10 years of experience in quantitative modeling, which he uses to inform economic and policy decisions. He has served as principal investigator for multiple research projects in multilateral lending institutions and academia, applying machine learning, causal inference, and AI techniques to address challenges in demand estimation, efficiency and productivity, climate impact assessment, and macroeconomic nowcasting and forecasting.
In his academic positions, Samuele created and taught five new courses in statistics, econometrics, and machine learning for both graduate and undergraduate students. He has published his academic research in leading econometrics journals, such as the Journal of Econometrics, the Journal of Business and Economic Statistics, and the Journal of Applied Econometrics. In both his academic and consulting positions. Samuele is known for his team leadership, mentorship, and ability to communicate complex methods to non-technical audiences.
