Mike Lyon

Mike Lyon oversees the firm’s technology operations, information security, information governance, business continuity, and overall data infrastructure.

Mike Lyon is a member of the firm’s senior leadership team and serves on the Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity Committees. He has been with Bates White for more than 20 years. In his current role, Mike leads and directs the teams responsible for implementing the technology initiatives that touch all aspects of the firm. He focuses on guiding the strategic design and implementation of solutions to enhance business processes and the strategic direction of the firm’s continually evolving information services and systems. Regarding IT security management, Mike identifies, evaluates, selects, and implements security programs to safeguard critical business information and systems. He has extensive experience performing audits and risk assessments of information systems, including identifying vulnerabilities, recommending mitigation strategies, and developing IT security measures to ensure compliance and safeguarding of the firm’s assets.

Prior to Bates White, Mike provided technical services to private and government clients/employers. His work included network integration, management, and monitoring; data configuration and monitoring; and end-user and client support.
