Mary Dewhurst works as an Independent Consultant to Bates White. She specializes in providing accounting, economic, and financial analysis, including transfer pricing, damages calculation, and company valuation. She is dual qualified as a US Certified Public Accountant and UK Chartered Accountant and holds the AICPA’s Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential and the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation. Mary has extensive experience providing expert reports on transfer pricing matters, including audits, litigation, and settlement negotiations. She has also provided expert reports on damages arising from copyright infringement, as well as on a variety of accounting issues. In her previous position at Bates White, she advised government agencies, law firms, and corporations in arbitration proceedings, mergers, bankruptcy, and litigation.
Prior to her time with Bates White, she served as a Manager at ARPC (now Ankura), specializing in mass torts. Her previous employment included several years advising on complex tax and accounting issues involving both US and UK GAAP, international tax, transfer pricing, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and audit issues, in her roles with Morgan Stanley, Legal & General, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Royal Dutch Shell, Deloitte, and Arthur Andersen.
