Justus Timmers, PhD

Justus Timmers leverages his expertise in industrial organization and health economics to provide rigorous economic analyses in complex litigation. He earned his PhD from the University of Texas at Austin, where he developed and estimated a structural bargaining model focused on the interactions between regulators and insurers in the ACA Marketplaces. Following his doctoral studies, he joined Bates White, contributing to matters involving healthcare and higher education. Prior to his PhD, Justus served as an Economic Advisor for the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority, working in the Mergers Division. His research interests include public procurement and market power.
