Glenn George named Fellow of the Energy Institute

Bates White Partner Glenn George has been named a Fellow of the Energy Institute (EI), in recognition of his leadership in the energy sector.

Based in London, incorporated by Royal Charter in 2003, and with roots going back to 1914, EI is a global professional membership and accreditation body for people who work throughout the energy field. EI designates Fellowship for “experienced professionals who have made a significant and sustained contribution to the energy sector or wider society.” It is the highest membership category, offering Fellows the right to use the postnominal letters “FEI” after their name and access to the EI headquarters building in central London.

Dr. George is a seasoned advisor and expert witness in the global power and utilities, oil and gas, mining, manufacturing, water, chemical, transport, and infrastructure sectors. Drawing on his background as an engineer and economist, he applies deep expertise in strategy, policy, regulation, technology, and finance to deliver consulting and litigation support to governments, companies, and investors. His expert testimony relates primarily to contract disputes and construction delays and cost overruns in the energy, infrastructure, and related sectors. He has testified 23 times, including as both a technical and quantum expert, in a number of high-profile, multi-billion-dollar matters, including in the High Court of England and Wales, the International Court of Justice at The Hague, the US Court of Federal Claims, several US District Courts, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), and the International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).
