Bates White named a Top Workplace in the Washington, DC area for 11th consecutive year
For the 11th consecutive year, Bates White has been named one of the Top Workplaces in the Washington, DC, area. The 2026 honor was announced by WTOP News, the current local media partner for the regional Top Workplaces program, which in prior years was published by The Washington Post. For 2026, the firm is ranked #29 on the list of mid-sized companies.

Selection for the Top Workplaces list is based only on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by Energage LLC. The confidential survey gathers information on several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment (company direction, values, and internal cooperation), execution, and whether employees have meaningful work and feel appreciated. In completing the survey, Bates White employees noted the firm’s collegial and collaborative culture, robust professional development opportunities, emphasis on mentorship, and strong philanthropic program that creates ties to the community.
