As the landscape of mass tort liabilities evolves, Chapter 11 has emerged as a method of interest. Chair and Partner Charles Mullin will share his expertise in the 2025 Distressed Investing Conference, speaking on the panel “The New Mass Torts—From Here to Eternity.” Dr. Mullin and his co-panelists will examine the use of Chapter 11 to approach complicated mass tort liabilities in the post-Purdue era. “Forever chemical torts” and its complexities will also be discussed.
The speakers will investigate timing, valuation, and evidentiary challenges—while being mindful of implications for upcoming restructurings. The discussion will spotlight arising strategies and limitations.
