Testimony in Suncoast Surgical v. Celtic Insurance

In Suncoast Surgical Associates v. Celtic Insurance, Arun Sharma submitted a report on behalf of Celtic Insurance (Centene), in which he evaluated plaintiff physicians' allegations that they were owed damages because Centene subsidiary Ambetter’s ACA Marketplace plan failed to pay billed charges for certain disputed procedures. Arun opined that plaintiffs did not suffer damages because billed charges do not represent market prices for healthcare services and because Ambetter’s pricing of the at-issue claims was consistent with market prices and prices negotiated with other providers.
