Provided expertise in economics, power plant emissions control, and power market modeling in the evaluation of the economic feasibility of retrofitting the La Cygne coal-fired generating facility, an aging coal fired generating plant in Kansas, to meet recently adopted and proposed environmental regulations. Testified in front of the Kansas Corporation Commission on the key assumptions and uncertainties driving the future prices of natural gas and low-sulfur western coal which that will likely determine the long-term future competitiveness of coal fired plants.
