Partner Nitin Dua and co-authors contributed to issue 34 of The Quick Look, the newsletter produced by the American Bar Association’s Joint Conduct Committee. This issue of the newsletter provides summaries of two papers: (1) a Federal Trade Commission (FTC) policy paper on the impact of certificates of public advantage on price, quality, access and innovation of healthcare services and (2) a position paper by the FTC and the Department of Justice submitted jointly to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) regarding FERC’s April 2022 Notice of Proposed Rulemaking about regional transmission planning. This issue also offers quick look at the FTC’s approval of three omnibus resolutions authorizing compulsory process for investigations and gives an update on the bipartisan Journalism Competition and Preservation Act.
