The financial services industry is rapidly expanding the use of technology to improve the delivery and reach of lending programs. While technology offers promising benefits, it also raises significant risks that concern civil rights advocates and the regulatory community, such as potential bias and disparities that need to be carefully managed. Principal Bryce Stephens has been invited to speak on the panel “Using Technology to Expand Credit Access” at the CRA & Fair Lending Colloquium, the largest annual meeting of professionals working in the fair lending space.
Panelists will discuss how technology can be responsibly used to expand housing opportunities for underserved markets. Dr. Stephens’ co-panelists include:
- Melissa Koide, FinRegLab
- Pamela Perry, Freddie Mac
- Lisa Rice, National Fair Housing Alliance
- Eric Schuppenhauer, Citizens Bank
