Glenn George served as an expert witness in Alta Wind I Owner Lessor C, et al. v. United States, an ongoing matter in the US Court of Federal Claims.
Alta Wind is a large wind farm located at the Tehachapi Pass, Kern County, California. Plaintiffs seek additional payments pursuant to Section 1603 of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, which provided for a cash grant in lieu of tax credit for certain qualified investments in renewable energy property, including wind power projects. The case also involves a counterclaim by the government.
Dr. George submitted two expert reports, was deposed twice, and (qualified by the Court as an expert in energy economics) testified at trial July 23, 24, and 28, 2025.
