Our clients face intellectual property challenges throughout the life cycle of many pharmaceuticals,
biologicals, and medical devices. We assist by quantifying the impact of alleged infringement in patent,
trademark, and copyright cases by defining relevant markets and calculating but-for damages, price
erosion, reasonable royalties, and future damages. We are frequently called upon to serve in temporary
and permanent injunction proceedings as testifying experts on such economic issues as irreparable harm,
balance of the burdens, and public interest. Allegations of infringement of intellectual property often
include counterallegations of anticompetitive conduct (discussed above).
