Damages and wrongful discharge
The Labor and Employment Practice has calculated damages in many cases with claims specific to a single plaintiff, such as wrongful discharge. Our approach in these cases is to calculate both an actual and a but-for sequence of earnings and to base damage calculations on a comparison of these two sequences. Characterization of both sequences requires an understanding of modern labor economics as well as a familiarity with the government statistical sources needed as inputs to these calculations.
