Scott Lobel has extensive experience applying economic concepts to antitrust and civil litigation matters.
He works closely with leading law firms and Fortune 500 corporations throughout the litigation process—from
prefiling analysis through discovery and expert testimony. He has extensive experience in cartel cases, working
with plaintiffs and defendants to analyze liability and damages, devise settlement strategies, support testifying
experts, and provide discovery support. Mr. Lobel also manages project teams providing economic analysis in cases
involving proposed acquisitions and allegations of bundling and monopolization.
Mr. Lobel works with leading law firms and Fortune 500 clients across multiple industries, including asbestos,
chemicals, computer technology, electronics, entertainment, financial services, jewelry, manufacturing, medical
devices, pulp and paper, pharmaceuticals, textiles, telecommunications, and transportation.
Mr. Lobel is currently working with multiple clients to assess liability and damages in a number of large cartel
cases. He worked with counsel for a major defendant in In
re Polyester Staple Antitrust Litigation to develop econometric and financial damage estimates, assist with
settlement strategy, and provide ongoing support under a cooperation agreement. Previously, he worked with several
international companies to evaluate the implications of the Supreme Court’s Empagran decision on their
potential claims. He also supported the testifying expert for a large plaintiff opt-out group in
In re Vitamins Antitrust Litigation by executing
affirmative and rebuttal analyses on liability issues.
