Randal Heeb has more than 20 years of experience providing economic analysis for matters including anticompetitive behavior, market structure, asset valuation, cost estimation, strategic planning, and investment analysis. He has written and consulted on a range of antitrust issues related to complex pricing and has served as a consulting expert to natural gas marketing and trading companies on matters involving index reporting. Currently, Dr. Heeb is providing consulting services in an antitrust case involving allegations of exclusionary conduct and illegal pricing. He has taught graduate courses in international negotiation, managerial economics, and business strategy to Ph.D. and M.B.A. students and corporate executives in Europe, Asia, and North America. Dr. Heeb has extensive expertise in the electric power, natural gas, and high-technology industries.

Prior to joining Bates White, Dr. Heeb was Assistant Professor of Economics at the INSEAD business school in Fontainebleau, France. Previously, he was Lecturer at the University of Chicago Department of Economics, and Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics and Strategy at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business. In addition to his professorships, Dr. Heeb served as President of Policy Planning Associates, Inc., a software development firm specializing in customized energy industry applications.
