Charles E. Bates is President and Senior Partner of Bates White, LLC. Dr. Bates has extensive experience in statistics, econometric modeling, and economic analysis. He specializes in the application of statistics and computer modeling to economic and financial issues. Dr. Bates has more than 20 years of experience and provides clients with a wide range of litigation and commercial consulting services, including expert testimony and guidance on economic and statistical issues.

Dr. Bates is a recognized advisor on asbestos-related matters and an expert on asbestos forecasting methods. He is regularly retained as an expert in estimating asbestos liability expenditures on behalf of insurance companies, corporations, and financial creditors’ committees in federal bankruptcy proceedings. Dr. Bates has testified before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee and Federal Bankruptcy Court and he often speaks at national and international forums on the asbestos litigation environment and estimation issues.
