Rutgers University Professor of Economics, Martin K. Perry, joins Bates White, LLC, as Academic Affiliate
WASHINGTON, D.C., April 16, 2006—Martin K. Perry, Ph.D., J.D., Professor
of Economics at Rutgers University since 1989, has become associated with Bates White as an Academic Affiliate. Perry
specializes in antitrust analysis of mergers and vertical restraints.
Formerly Chief Economist at the Federal Communications Commission, Perry also held positions in the Economics Research
Group at Bell Telephone Labs and Bell Communications Research, Inc. He has been a Visiting Professor at various institutions,
including the Institute for Economic Analysis (Barcelona, Spain) and Wharton School of Management (University of Pennsylvania).
Perry has published widely in the areas of vertical integration, resale price maintenance, exclusive dealing, monopolistic
competition, and oligopoly and mergers. He has consulted on mergers and acquisitions involving casino gaming, wireless
communications, and various industrial products.
