Bates White strengthens leadership with appointment
of
four partners and two principals
WASHINGTON, D.C., October 1, 2004—Bates White, a national
economic consulting firm, is pleased to announce the appointments
of Gerald L. Brodsky, Matthew M. Long, Dr. Charles H. Mullin,
and Boris J. Steffen to partner, and Dr. Steven P. Schulenberg
and Dr. Christopher Stomberg to principal.

experience in investment banking and capital markets. He
specializes in advising corporations and other business
entities on strategic and transactional finance issues,
including financial policy, mergers and acquisitions, joint
ventures and other strategic alliances, and risk management. |

Matthew Long is an expert in consumer finance and credit
risk modeling. He specializes in fair lending issues, disparate
impact credit scoring analysis, and other areas of consumer
finance litigation. Mr. Long has extensive experience in
working with one of the leading credit card originators,
where he was instrumental in launching and rapidly growing
its auto finance business into one of the nation's largest
and fastest growing automotive lenders. |

Dr. Charles Mullin is an expert in econometric and statistical
analysis in both the private and public sectors. He advises
clients and provides expert analysis on financial reporting,
insurance coverage negotiations, bankruptcies, and due diligence
for mergers, acquisitions, and spin-offs. |

Boris Steffen is an expert in financial and managerial
accounting, economics, corporate finance, valuation, and
strategy. He has been a strategic and financial adviser
in $71-billion worth of mergers and acquisitions, divestitures,
joint ventures, and leveraged buyouts. |

Dr. Steven Schulenberg is an expert in econometrics and
industrial organization. He works directly with testifying

strategy and provides extensive support during the discovery

Dr. Christopher Stomberg specializes in matters associated
with the pharmaceuticals industry, and the application of
