The Institute of Public Utilities at Michigan
State University invites Dr. David DeRamus to speak on regulatory
failure
WASHINGTON, D.C., October 24, 2003-The Institute of Public Utilities
(IPU) at Michigan State University has invited Dr. David DeRamus
to speak at its 35th Annual Regulatory Policy Conference entitled,
"The New Balancing Act: Reconciling Markets and Regulation."
Dr. David DeRamus
has been invited to speak on a panel addressing the topic, "Knowing
it When You See it: Business, Market, and Regulatory Failure."
The panel also includes Dr. Fred Grygiel, Chief Economist at the
New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, and John O'Donnel, Professor
of Finance Emeritus at Michigan State University. Dr. Janice A.
Beecher, IPU Director, will serve as the moderator.
