They have brought some of the best aspects of an academic department to this firm—from working with Senior Partner Hal White to the Summer Consultant program.

A highlight of my job is the opportunity to work with Hal. He is not only a world-renowned economist but also a great person— something I find to be a rare combination in someone of his caliber. I'm influenced by his fine character and intellectual capital, whether I hear him play jazz on his trumpet at one of our firm gatherings or I follow along while he scribbles new ideas on his yellow note pads.

Hal has taught me the value of mentoring and training as a part of our everyday course of business. He always has the time to explain things and to answer even the most uninformed questions with respect and a genuine desire to educate. This is true of all of our senior staff.
