Bates White’s Summer Consultant Program (ranked #9 summer program for consulting firms) provides rising seniors with an amazing 10 weeks of learning, collaborating, working, training, and socializing. As a Summer Consultant, you’ll work side-by-side with employees at all levels including PhD economists, MBAs, and JDs to meet the needs of real clients. You’ll receive extensive training so you can perform challenging and interesting quantitative and qualitative assignments. And, you’ll have a Sponsor and a Peer Coach who will give you career guidance and show you the ropes. Past participants rave about their experiences as Summer Consultants and the majority have become full-time employees after graduation. Here are just a few quotes...
“Everyone is welcoming and eager to help you learn, and as a result, you integrate very quickly…The work is intellectually stimulating, challenging, and feels significant. Economic consulting is a very cool industry, and Bates White is one of the best in the business.”
“I found the work to be a really interesting intersection of applied economic concepts and rigorous mathematical or statistical skills, which was something I really enjoyed. The people I worked with at Bates White were exceptional and a pleasure to work with, which made a tremendous impact on my experience.”
“All of the opportunities I was given were amazing. I not only got to work on real case work and help out with an actual report, I was given training in valuable skills and had the opportunity to work through a case from beginning to end as if I was a full-time Consultant.”
“Bates White really cares about its interns having a positive experience and doing real work that contributes to a case. This job incorporates basic economic principles from classes more so than most jobs probably will. It’s a very academic, collegial, and collaborative place to work."
Of course, one of the most popular aspects of the program are the opportunities for networking. Ranging from city tours and sports outings to community service projects and dinner with senior leadership, these activities help you get to know employees across the firm.
