History and values
At Bates White, personal and professional integrity are paramount. When Charles Bates, Hal White, and three other economists founded the firm in 1999, they wanted a firm that would empower and respect individuals, trust their judgment, value diverse skills and perspectives, and share risks and rewards. The original Guiding Principles they set in place continue to drive the firm’s strategy, approach, and culture.
